Agreed. I got too frustrated waiting for the next book with GrrM. My current plan it to wait till the final book in his series has a publication date, then re-read the series.

I have damn near absolute faith that GRR Martin will die before he finishes his GoT series. By this point, I feel that is actually his plan.

Or John Ringo who has a nasty habit of switching between series on a regular basis. I'm still waiting for the next books in several of his series.

Like the next Empire of Man book.

Now, now, be fair. That series is a joint project between John Ringo and RFC. And RFC's been busy, and so has John.

And it could always be worse. Like waiting for the next Jim Butcher book. The gap between Changes and Ghost Story was... agonizing.

Tor says that they still expect to publish AtSoT in "early October," and that they're not aware of any delays...for whatever that's worth.

I really don't mind the long hiatus in the Empire of Man series. I feel like they left it at a good place. Prince Roger's solo adventures were pretty much over and he was going to be stuck being Emperor. However, I do wish Ringo would have finished his Council Wars series. I really liked that series, but it has been so long now I doubt he will ever pick it back up.

Yeah same here.I was somewhat disappointed when he said that the Council Wars series would probably never be finished. Also waiting for the next book in his legacy of Aldenata series,as that's taking a while as well.

Yes. Just got an email from Amazon with a new estimated delivery date around Nov. 1, so Duckk was correct. As usual.
