"Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!' Nothing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away." You couldn't ask for better, short of actually writing "Honor Harrington was here!" in impact craters. |

Honor won't go in for long speeches or quote some classic work. It'll be simple and direct. I suggest:
"Let justice be done. Fire!" |

RFC said "refitting a Beowulfan SD to Manticoran standards would be just as difficult as refitting a standard SLN SD to those standards. In other words, it would be cheaper and faster to build new ships." |

Isn't part of the Beowulf code a preference for body births? I thought Ally carried Honor to term, just as she did for Honor's siblings. |

It's a cultural quirk, not a part of the Beowulf Code. And, Yes, Ally carried all of her children to term for natural childbirth. .

Well, I'm going to assume that I let my cat out of the bag in the one-liner's thread. And the reigning Queen of my most memorable, and still heavyweight champion of the world in my subjective mind...
I say, Brrr... It's gettin' cold in here. It must be the vacuum of the atmosphere. Aside: Do you notice how fate is in tune with nature? Even in fiction? That most powerful and memorable line wouldn't carry as much impetus if delivered with anything other than Admiral Tourville. For me, it really falls flat and loses its fizzle at "Commodore." Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. "Queen's Honor" I also like "Scout's Honor" (imagine a scout that is telling Honor that he somehow stumbled onto the MAligneyHole "Scout's Honor?" "Scout's Honor mam."
