he is 300k words in expecting to remove 100k of them on edit
Scotty and Hoarce go up vs Firebrand.
Interestingly David tells us he is actully liking Daimian Harahap

The first chapter of Shadow of Victory is published in the AlbaCon 2016 program. He also read the 2nd and 3rd chapters.

And how many times has David Weber led fans astray? Take everything else on this subject, except what I post, as possible fan-tasy. The book is on Amazon, release date is Nov. 2016 and the one-line blurb, which says nothing we all don't know already is:
The Mesan Alignment is revealed, and, for Honor Harrington and the Manticoran Star Kingdom, this means war!

Quickly! To Amazon! Place your orders. I have.

Historically speaking, when does Bean bring out the EARC versions?

Generally speaking 4 to 6 months before publication.

Unless we're lucky and it shows up on YouTube at some point. But RFC fans aren't obsessive about that the way Brandon Sanderson fans are, so don't get your hopes up.

Perhaps Duckk can talk Himself out of the first 3 chapters to post here for us?

Doesn't Baen usually do that on their own site?

Imagined conversation:
Admiral [noting yet another Manty tech surprise]:
XO, what's the budget for the ONI?
Vice Admiral: I don't recall exactly, sir. Several billion quatloos.
Admiral: ... What do you suppose they did with all that money?

They do, as soon as they start the Baen Bundle for the month in question. That means, if the book is out in November, we get no fix until August 2016 ...

Unless things change radically, Weber posts snippets three times a week starting about three to four months before the book goes on sale. They're posted here in the snippets forum and at Eric Flint's site. We usually have a few people discussing the snippets as they're posted at Eric's site.

To do a fast calculation based on totally made-up premises: Assuming a spherical snippet....

Un, no. Assuming that snippets are about 1,000 words and the book comes in at 200,000 words and he decides to snippet the first 40 %, that makes 80 snippets at three a week that's 26 weeks or six months. That means that snippeting would begin in May.

You have just seen how to do a pseudo-scientific wild-assed guess.
