Not the best thing if she is going to be a main character in a book. It would be great for her & the RMN as it would be the best training command. Just think of it as truly advanced training school using real ships, not just simulators.
She will do just fine with home fleet when the Invincible Onion Navy and two thousand ultradreadnoughts* come across the event horizon, complete with many copies of the device that is not very good at destroying warship wedges but is completely effective -- you did notice that missiles and counter missiles have rather simpler wedge structures? - at destroying missile and counter missile wedges at a great distance.
