I've said it a few tines, and I stand by the sentiment that RFC could dump the entire book onto the forums, and not lose an appreciable percentage of his sales. You don't get the level of in depth analysis and discussion that regularly happens on this forum from the kind of people who would not buy a book just because they'd already read it. Kindle is all well and good and all, and it's generally the single most used app on my phone (when I'm not haranguing the poor receptionist at my old job over an unpaid workman's comp claim and referring collections agents to her). But I still own dead tree versions of all my favorites, including most of the Safehold series and all of the Wheel Of Time. I can't be the only one like that.

I told my eldest son that he's getting nine more birthday parties, then he'll be thrown a "get out" party so that I can reclaim my study and make it into an electronics free bastion of solitude.

If Duckk is right about this, then the earliest we will see snippets is fall with the book coming out first half of 2017.

Of course we don't know from Duckk's post the actual time frame of his info.

At a guess, fall to late fall for the snippets then....

I confess I'm torn on this topic.

While I LOVED reading the snippets :D , I think back to my uncontrollable bouts of depression when I didn't get my "snippet fix" on a regular basis.

If we get them, I'll certainly read and enjoy them. But I HOPE I don't suffer the same emotional whip sawing that I did with the HFQ snippeting... :o

Actually, he has done something pretty much like that before - I remember buying one of Honour Harrington series hardcover with CD that had pretty much all previous books in series in e-book format... didn't stop me from buying the rest of the series in paper, even though I did not had all of them before.

When is the latest that David could turn in the book and maintain the October 4th publication date?
