Lester Pierre Gustave Toutant Tourville.

Google the middle names if you don't get the reference. Let's just say it's another 'cowboy' who was also a better than average commander (IMHO).

I would say Victor Etienne (French for Stephen) Cachat, but knowing RFC's penchant for historical allusions, it's probably Victor Hugo Cachat.

I'm partial to Louise (Lou-ee-se, the Dutch pronunciation), but that's just me. Aside from Eloise and Abigail, I'm really not set on any of these, I'm just having fun exploring. :)

Virginia Suzanne Usher. No idea why. It's an Old Earth, very traditional name which I think might appeal to the reborn lady inside the firecracker.

Thoughts?

Just for you guys, I'll tell you Victor's middle name. But I won't dare say it. I'll do as I always have to remain alive and w-r-i-t-e it.

You see, Victor was to be a Nanna's boy, so he was given the middle name of his grandma. 1-0-1-1-l-e-t-y-s-i-a-d-t-e-r-s-0-1-1-0.
He was teased about it a lot as a kid. Though it's funny because you can't find anyone around now, except me and now you, who knows what it is.

So, if you want to live, make like me and don't dare speak it. It really is TWTSNBS.

Oh yea, strip off the extraneous bits of code and letters. Then think, don't speak, backwards.

Above all, always remember...

1. Never judge a Victor by its cover or a man by his name. Both can be victor-iously deceiving.

2. A victor by any other name has still killed as quickly! Sweet!

I'll just wear this here >wig< for awhile to be safe.

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

I will cackle so hard if it's actually "Hugo".

That said, I like "Victor Etienne" better.

What I find interesting about Middle names is the reason for having them and the way they are used differs between Star Nations.

Manticore seems to go for peoples First Names, so is likely done to honor or remember specific people in their families past. Honor 'Stephanie' Harrington is named directly after her great great grandmother who thanks to century long records is both well known and remembered for specific reasons (How many of us outside royalty can trace our ancestors back that well).

Beowulf on the other hand seems to celebrate the family surnames of their ancestors. Its also likely that they take some pride in showing off how genetically diverse their background is. Jacques "Benton-Rameriez y Chou'' reflects a fusion of Middle/Old English, Spanish, and Chinese ancestry topped off with a French first name.
