Well we all knew you were about to go on a spiel, and didn't want to ruin it for any forum newbies on a thread this important

They didn't actually do an armor drop, you might be confusing the Gryphon hunting chalet assault where they deployed directly from shuttles, because both Harkness and Scotty also deployed with the Marines. This is also where Harkness saw his future wife doing her thang and gawked in awe.

The SoS assault drop against Nordbrandt's Freedom Alliance of Kornati lunatics is where they did a full assault drop, with the counter grav chutes there.

Other notable scenes I'd like to see (in no particular order)
-the drop and defense on Basilisk against the native uprising.
-Pierre's meeting with conspirators, Kevin Usher's assassination of Palmer-Levy, and the actual creation of the CPS in the People's Quorum
-Viktor Cachat's lunacy in Chicago's underbelly (come on now, when he even makes Ballroom dancers stop and watch, it's GOTTA be a scene we see in a movie  )
-Theisman executing Citizen Chairman OSJ and the leadup (both the original McQueen uprising, and Theisman's assault)
-Honor in her various duels including against Summervale & Young, against Steadholder Burdette, and possibly in the pinnace against Warnecke.

And lastly, but surely not the least, the majority of HotQ. The death of the Admiral, the Blackbird base strike, and Honor's multi-hour defense of Grayson culminating in bringing her cruiser in to the tune of, I think it was Hammerwell?

No imaginary martial art will be depicted well if they try to be faithful to the books.

(That said, anything involving Eloise being Presidential. Especially taking the Oath of Office. Also, the epic midnight dash to Manticore and subsequent meeting aboard Imperator. Sweet Tester, do I want to be a fly on that wall!)

Thinking about it, you'd be wanting the majority of The Eloise and Javier scenes from Honor Among Enemies with the Silesia commerce raiding and such, then their same scenes in IEH and their tension during the escort to Hades, the even more tension of them being kept in orbit of Haven until they were assigned into Twelfth Fleet. And finally Eloise being itchy because Javier is off with First Fleet in that aftermath of when she took office (and out of her bed  )

To the point of reducing all the rest of the scene time to give you more movie time of your couple... right?

Belly laugh... As opposed to imaginary starships, Sphinxian creatures (treecats), Medusans, wedges, impellers, wormholes, Mesan bodyguards, anything on Cerebus and...

Compared to all that, the Coup would be easy. Because it's supposed to have borrowed from everything else.

Well, no. They'd have to budge over to share screentime with Augustus and Estelle and Michelle and Abigail and Helen and Aivars and Michael out in Talbott, and with Allen Higgins back in Manticore. Plus whatever Tourville gets up to. And of course we'd need some screen time for the Graysons in there, too. Because they're awesome.

...that said, if someone made "the Titanic of the Honorverse" - a sweeping, epic film focused entirely on Eloise and Javier, with a side order of Tom Theisman - I'd be at the midnight screening. And every subsequent screening for the next week. And then I'd buy it on DVD. And BluRay. And the digital edition for my laptop, just to be safe. And then I'd badger my online friends with fanvid-making talents to make about a dozen different videos - one for each track in my "Fields of Gold" fanmix, naturally - for them. That's all.

IIRC, Mateo bounced the bully for two reasons:
- he detested people taking advantage of their size to bully other people;
- he could.

Abby was out of the bully's firetrack, and in no danger of being run over.

Known. That was Mateo's excuse though and the plow under plus the wise-cracking afterwards would have been a fun 10-15 seconds. Although thinking about a similar interaction between Thandi and Victor (bump in the crowd) plus a conversation afterwards gives me a funny thought.

Given how much Thandi says she can clean and jerk, seems like she could almost put Mateo over her head if he didn't know it was coming. Wonder what kind of crack Abigail would toss if Mateo and Palane were enjoying a friendly sparring match and the good armsmen former marine got tossed. Something about "but Mateo -- she fights like a girl!"

(grumbles) Bunch of pacifists... now who do I sell my WWE tickets to? ;-)

I'd certainly like to see Honor in action. That nice little game of squash that she and Nimitz played at Protector's Palace is a perfect demonstration of the Coup - tactical mayhem!

Also top on the list is Honor's sparring sessions with Babcock? Nimitz needs to teach Honor how to land, not on her ass!

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

Everyone would like to see Shannon's 'Oops' immortalized onscreen, but just as cool would be the subtle bonding between she and Tourville during that fiasco. Like when Tourville caught a suspicious movement of Shannon's hand at the console and moved to erase the timestamped data himself. A cool moment.

But I'd like to also see Honor's 'oops' moment, after the Marines drop that Somtaaw already mentioned where she dove through traffic with Fearless disabling the dispatch boats nodes. "Oops, guess I wasn't watching where I was going."

The scene in Nike's pool when Nimitz bombed Honor with tennis balls and got knocked off the diving board by return fire -- followed by Paul Tankersly's arrival.

Nimitz with a frisbee and/or in HMAMC Wayfarer's cargo bay/magazine with his skinsuit acrobatics.
