Losing my wife is the worst thing I can imagine. I hope the books help you to keep her in your mind.

My mother died almost a month ago. She was 100 years old, so there is no comparison. I can't begin to understand exactly how you feel. However, I found comfort in 2 scriptures. Job 14:14,15 and John 5:26-29.

John & Martin, I join you in that I just lost my sole sibling, brother, and last other member of my last name this past week. I am joyed that after 43+ years of being a quad, he has his heavenly wings! The first retiree (medical) from the US Military Academy Class of 1972 has now joined the "Long Gray Line!" Still the absence at the holidays will be burdensome for his wife and myself but that is all part of life!

Anyhow my condolences for you and for those poor souls in Paris, Beirut and other places and especially for their afflicted families. May God grant them peace and may he punish the evil that has been done them!

What say you, my peers?

My wife was 10 years dying the last 5 extremely emotionally hellish/rocky--understandably so, but that doesn't really help in the moment--due to her constant untreatable severe pain and deep emotional depression/frustration. That was a bit over 3 years ago. I am not in the least over it yet.

I empathize with your pain. Don't let people tell you in a couple of months "It's time to move on, now". It just doesn't normally work that way.
