Hmm.. Good enough for government work?
Yep, forgot about that one myself.

Yep, forgot about that one myself. Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense |

One of the most dangerous, almost anywhere... "OOPS!"

I agree with you. It is especially dangerous if Shannon Foraker is the one who says "oops!" |

Because that´s short for: "Operational Oversight Possibly Serious". |

I LIKE that--never heard it before. Another dangerous thing to hear, especially from a new lieutenant, "Hey y'all--watch this!" |

From the many awful, painful, disgusting horror stories that I've been told of STDs contracted in some countries by soldiers (and the even more terrifying relief/treatment), I can imagine that being in a doctor's office and hearing "Uh oh!" is pretty darn near the top.

Well, maybe not dangerous, but unpleasant--Is there a naval equivalent to "This is just a courtesy inspection?"

I would imagine that getting a brand new (and just recently promoted and unknown) CO of the ship addressing a veteran crew before setting off on a 6 month deployment saying "And last but not least, this is going to be a routine, easy mission."
I just think karma bites that in the ass 9 times out of 10, and sailors know it. |
