Some of the more spoiled kids up the street want more - always want more. They won't settle for a snippet or two. They'd like an entire snip, or three. Wouldn't it be nice if RFC -- since it is practically the holidays and his final mainline installments -- treated us to something unprecedented? Like an entire Christmas chapter?!

Those darn spoiled uptown brats!

I remember the holidays at my Grandmother's house, all of us kids bugging her about when her pies would be ready. She always told us, as RFC no doubt would, "It'll be ready when it's ready."

BTW, until you've had a two-inch thick slice of pie made from blueberries picked hours before in the field behind Grandma's house, you haven't lived.

You haven't been here long enough - David's dropped some Christmas goodies before....

Then there's the time he accidentially posted his un-proofed draft of Shadows of Saganami instead of a sample chapter. We call it the "oopsie".He ended up adding 3-4 chapters and re-working another 6 or so, but essentially we had the whole book.

Honorverse Tech Bu9 in the Baen Free Short Stories 2011 collection.
Grayson Navy Letters Home in the Baen Free Short Stories 2012 collection.

Both are available in the Baen Free Library.

There are only two things I genuinely want for Christmas.

1. Keith Olbermann back on MSNBC.
2. An Eloise-containing snippet from the new book. (Or Estelle. Or Augustus. Or Abigail. Or Michele. Or Tom. Or Lester. Not picky, here. )

(I mean, I'd also like Shep Smith and/or Anderson Cooper to sneak into my bed and ravish me, but wishes, horses, etc.)
