I was thinking, with the appearance of Katyusha by the AoG and the rifle grenade by the ICA. What other weapons could come out that would not use electricity. Then it hit what about a Bazooka with a fuse ignited rocket and contact explosive as a bunker buster not a anti-tank/armor weapon. The last generation Bazooka's had a range of 1000 yds with an effective range of 2-300 yds. If the ICA makes a bazooka half that effective it could be very useful.

The British had a special rocket launching musket that fired a Congreve rocket from a tube like barrel, it had a hole in the side where the fuse came through into the pan of a flintlock.

No, the Bazooka had an electric ignition system (as its german counterpart, the panzerschreck). Think panzerfaust or RPG-7.

I know that, I was thinking of a fuse ignited rocket motor. the old bazooka had a couple of wires that had to be connected to ignite the rocket motor. now if you use the same type of system with the loader with a lighter igniting a short length of fuse (5-10 second)

It would be simpler and easier to aim accurately if you used a percussion cap ignition system. Rig a hammer to whack a percussion cap somewhere (on the rocket's exhaust?) and you get near instantaneous ignition so the aimer doesn't have to hold it on target for 5-10 seconds while exposed to enemy fire.

What about something along the lines of the breech-action, Vietnam-Era M79 grenade launcher? No electricity required, should not be that difficult to manufacture, and it would give a great improvement in range and rate of fire compared to the rifle grenades Charis already has.

That's a good idea, but how about a M203 instead. That way ICA troopers don't have to lug around any more equipment than necessary.

I see your point. I was thinking along the lines of having a dedicated grenadier attached to platoons with an M79. But yeah, the under the barrel M203 probably would be better. That way the guys with the grenade launchers still has a rifle to defend themselves with.

Or how about the Japanese "Knee Mortar?" It was designed to fire regular hand grenades or specials shells to approx 4/10ths of a mile at up to 20-25 rpm. Range for point targets was approx 150 yds.

The RPG 7, the one you see in all the movies, is a percussion cap fired solid fuel rocket. And could definitely work. I'm curious what yall think the use of it could be. So far there isn't much need for a single shot rocket. Unless the churches forces start using shields on their field guns like the EoC is now doing.

The idea of a "grenade support soldier" in each squad does have merit. But isn't that what already is happening with the rifle grenades in green valley's army? The M79 or M203 would require another production line along with the ammo to make it.

The "knee mortar" could be very useful. Something light weight that a infantry squad could use for suppression fire. Each trooper carries a few rounds for it in thier standard pack with all their normal stuff. Similar to how a squad would carry the ammo for the support MG in WWII. And as the HE rounds come into production the large mortars will not be needed as much as they could have the same blasting charge size in a smaller "shell".
