Devotion to Clyntahn and devotion to his cause could come into conflict easily.

We are already seeing devotion to the Church coming into conflict with devotion to Clynthan's jihad and when that begins, as we saw with top navy and army officers in Dohlar and of the Mighty Host as well as the army of God (not the inquisition) in the camps. Once people begin to make that distinction... they see behind the curtain of deceit like in the wizard of oz.

I don' know anything... I only guess

Voted for Rayno for the simple reason that he has the most access to Clyntahn. Not just physically, but with information as well.

Rayno is the only man he truly trusts, so Rayno can easily put him in the sights of an assassin inside the Temple, or keep feeding him bad information until someone else (Rhobair, cough) acts to remove him.

All of the above would be satisfying to one degree or another; but I still think the "best" way (IMHO) would be for Cayleb, Sharley, Merlin to ride into Zion at the head of their conquering army, drag him out of his hole that he's hiding in and put him on trial for war crimes etc.That way they could bring out all of the evidence to the people of what he was and what he did. Again IMO, that would help convince the populace that they shouldn't just have blind faith that their church and its leaders are infallible.

What is under the Temple?

Probably Schueler and Chihiro PICAs. They were the Archangels behind the destruction of Alexandria and the War Against the Fallen. Langhorne probably started changing his mind about Shan-Wei and allowing pre electrical tech. Then he was betrayed.

Would suggest that you add Clyntahn committing suicide, not really certain this is likely but feel that given how paranoid Clyntahn is plus the small fact that the most reliable people for Clyntahn are also the ones who will be for the chop if he does go down.

Or he could go COMPLETELY insane :D

I voted for Duchairn. I think Clyntahn has gotten into the habit of under-estimating him.

All inquisitors are subject to summary execution if captured. I think the Charisian army or navy will capture and hang him. No need for a trial. It would only be a show. Remember what happened to St Just in the Honorverse.
