I got both the paper and ebook versions, mainly because I like to read on my laptop over lunch, at times.

Making a post a few minutes ago, I found that something on page 520 of the hard copy was on page 632 of the ebook.

I haven't gone through to find out the reason - not enough time to do it today.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks,

I think this relates to the size of the font you select, at least it seems to on my kindle... You did indicate that you read on your laptop so... I cannot say for sure.

Truth in advertising: I read the ePub format (open standard) with an off-the-shelf reader app called Freda on a Microsoft tablet.

At least with the ePub standard, you can dynamically change the font face, font color, and font size (I definitely need a larger font size with my old eyes).

It's sometimes funny to see a 600-page book turn into a 1,000 page book when I increase the font size. Makes me feel like I'm getting more words, even though I'm really not - the existing words just take up more space.

I suspect that the Adobe eReader is doing something similar.

Thank you, C.O. Thompson and Weberfan. Makes sense.

Has anyone else noticed that the Kindle version is missing page 521?

If so, can some one please post page 521? I'd really like to read it.

Thanks and regards,

I did not get up to that page yet... however, something seems different about the search and xRay functions not being as robust as I expected. I'll have to catch a specific and come back with more information.

Which "Chapter" is that?

I have not noticed anything missing.

Definitely post the chapter. On my reader (as described previously), I can adjust the font size, which changes the page numbering - sometimes dramatically! The page count on my reader is 730 pages, and I'm up to about 200 after last night. If you post the chapter, I can jump ahead and check it out to see if my ePub version is also missing a page (or some other increment of content as it might not be a "page").

Higsby,

I am reading on my kindle with the font selection third from the smallest, and page 221 includes a conversation in a wine shop in Zion. Last paragraph on page on my text begin "Let's go get a bottle of the good stuff,". The same thing happens when I select the smallest font available; is this what is happening in your text?

OOPS  my mild case of dyslexia caught me again....
You want to know about page 521 not 221

Sorry, I cannot help you yet :( :?

Hope it all comes out right.

Just finished first read last nite at 3 am... With epub on my nook, I found table of contents at the end instead of beginning. No harm, no foul, but a bit odd.
