The possible use of airships:

- Long-range scouting
- Naval patrols and scouting
- Aerial reconaissanse and gunnery targeting on the battlefield (with some sort of signal equipment, like semaphore)
- Aerial attack on the battlefield and near battefield
- Anti-shipping (anti-raider) attack
- Strategical bombing of Church arsenals, factories, storage facilites, docks, shipyards, channel locks, strategical briges, ect.
- Spies and saboteurs transportation behind the enemy lines
- Commando raid support
- Quick delivery of important messages (this would greatly help to explain "how Charisians could knew that")
- Delivery of propaganda leafets
- Internal and external propaganda of technological capabilites

Quite a lot, actually!

Oh well, if shortening the front is what the Germans crave,
Let's shorten it to very end - the length of Fuhrer's grave.
