just my two cents

How did Underhill get involved in this? and are those fay Seelie or Unseelie?

Those next two weeks could go on for a long, long time if we aren't very careful.

Delay the release by a month!!???!! Off with his head!!

I checked out the "Look inside" feature with little joy. No free sample option yet and I have discovered that I read on Kindle or dead tree version with high degree of satisfaction and comprehension... on the screen of my laptop, not so much.

14 days and the odd number of hours; but who is counting?

I am...12 fays plus hours counting down to HFQ.

I'd say it's the Sidhe Moire due to the cruel torture aspect of waiting...

I know that with LAMA, B&N had it available upon request a couple of days early. What I don't know is if this was actually policy or if I just managed to find an accomodating manager who slipped me the book.

I also found "Call to Arms" to download almost three weeks before October 6 release date for printed version.

I don't have any idea of the rhyme or reason of how all of this works out.

One way or the other, we're almost there. :D

Don, any book in a Baen monthly bundle is always available to buy and download as an E-book from their website on the 16th of the month before the dead tree edition is published. (I've just seen Amazon UK had A Call to Arms in Kindle on that date too.) Hence your 3 week early release.

Wunnerful, wunnerful, wunnerful. But I'm afraid we're dealing with Tor...which means we'll have to wait...

Oh well, 11 days and counting down to HFQ.

If you are starting to quote Lawrence Welk, we are really in deep doc-doo here. ;)

As for me, myself & I, this trio is waiting for the absolute GLOATING that will issue as various aggrivators find HFQ on the shelves in this coming week. It is inevitable that the combination of a too-early snippet drought and Tor permitting a 'soft release' will unleash the SPOILER Hounds!

So, those of us who are the sustainers, those who assure the statisticians of publishing with early commitments of purchase will just have to bide our time, grit our teeth and WAIT the next 9-10 days for our surcease! :x

Of course, we, in turn, should offer our sympathies to our even less fortunate compatriots who have to wait for postal shipments in other countries. Their's might be the 'Longest Day(s)' indeed. 8-)

(No offense intended towards the true participants in the real Normandy Landings!!!) :!:

It would be a dickens of a note if Lawrence Welk was the only thing out there for entertainment, wouldn't it?

Oh well, I needn't worry as long as I got you guys...

Just checked with Powell's Books. Not there yet either, and the girl I talked to acted like it was a hard release.

Yesterday I went to my bookstore to order it and to my surprise they said the German destributer had it in store and they would give it to me 'tomorrow' (meaning today).

The store will open in 3 hours. Then I'll find out if they were right.

Visited Waterstones at Cribbs Causeway (Bristol, England) yesterday...
They don't even have it in backstock yet.
Sigh...
