When I have the dead tree copy, if I have something I want to make note of, I use a post-it note. Kindle is great to add notes.

So much more civilized, don't you know

Just my two cents

For me - once it is identified as an error - I just ignore it.

This is an incredibly intricate world and a couple of ooopses are bound to occur.

I look at them as 'imperfect information' as no one in the workd gets perfect information ever... it makes my enjoyment better :D

I blame the AUTHOR! MWW just had to name those 3 countries, Charis, Chisholm and Corisande! So easy to confuse and absolutely bonkers. I mean really, what countries in the real world have such similar names?

(Cough) Ira? & Ira? - Those crazy Europeans of the 'tween War' period!

The muse is a fickle bitch, she promises to scratch your itch... if you don't treat her right, you'll be up all night and your flesh will be torn and bleeding.

When an idea occurs to me I either work with it or open a new file. I got a stack of legal pads with at least 10 trains of thought that ran off the tracks and I am running out of room on my hard drive.

Starting a story is easy, finishing one that is worth the time anyone else needs to read... AH! that is why we would have David writing 24/7 for our edification were such a thing possible.

Have you considered publishing the first chapter or two as part of a serial?

I see them frequently on my nook... First 2 chapters free - 2 chapters per installment - 99 cents...

I swear, I think i spent more on some of these series than i spend on a hardcover book.

The act of 'putting yourself out there' might also 'prime the pump' and get the imagination focused.. so to speak.

That worked (kinda) for Andy Weir. He posted chapters on his website and then modified them based on technical feedback, and look where that has gotten him!

I think I remember RFC stating that for the knowledge he has of his books, his fans will know them more and be able to point and quote every mistake he could have made.

That's juste the proof he was right.

He only has a small period of time to create his work.

Fans have eternity to formulate critiqs...
Can I have a treecat RFC?
