Anybody truly desperate to bump their post count up could add the "Mwah! Ha! Ha! Ha!" and thunder & lightning after every count. ;)

Drusus,

Welcome to the other side. You will quickly find that there are hundreds of hours of comments on the Safehold and all other David Weber series. As you might quickly also see, many of us are like addicts waiting for "our friend" to show up with what we need.

Anyway, don't be shy about tossing your 2¢ into any discussion.

I just wanna post and post and post, so I can become a fleet admiral. Then I'll go back in time and replace Bull Halsey, and stay at Leyte while sending my carriers after theirs, and sink the Yamato in an incredible naval battle where I cross their T, and... and... and...

Naaah, Ima wait for the book to come out and then sit back in a real comfortable chair with good snacks and drinks at hand and read it nonstop! 3 five-days and counting!

Well, if we are playing the time travel game, I would like to go back before the Washington Naval treaty put the squash on battleship development during the 1920s. Lets see what happens. And yes, I realize that EVENTUALLY carrier aircraft are going to make the battleship obsolete no matter what. I just wonder what happens if the battleship were free to develop without treaty considerations during the 30s....

Does the above posts count as FanFic?

A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Nah, they're trying to re-write the real-world, not fictional worlds.
I'd guess either Alt!History or Time-travel.

Check starting 1 week out. The book is not strict on sale and may be sold whenever it arrives at the book seller.

I plan on checking daily starting this week.

Darn Canadian retailers might have stock but refuse to honour the the soft start. :(
