Does anyone know if there is another book after Shadow of Freedom or if there is one on the pipeline?

*Sigh*
Duckk, we really need a 'sticky' post on this forum regarding this question. Nago, welcome to the forum, have a seat and the first Old Tillman is on the house, but this question seems to be asked every, oh, two weeks, and some of us 'old salts' have seen it way to often. Nothing on you, we're glad you're a fan, but... Anyway, the answer is yes, there will be 2-3 more books set in the current Honorverse, Mr. Weber (known here as the Mad Wizard Weber or MWW) says he will finish up the current arc in that time and to our satisfaction (we'll see... ), but has left the possibility that he may pick it up in the future, when the 'kids' of today are older. But the only promises are for this series. Supposedly, the MWW is beginning work on the next book, which will feature Honor and tie the "Shadows" and "Zilwicki-Cachat" trilogies back into the main story. It will have Honor in the name, but date of release and the book name are still in the misty futures. And that should wrap that up. ***********************************************

As Hutch said, unless the real world has intervened, the next book is being written. Based on past experience and absolutely no information, verifiable or otherwise, I think it might get turned in to Baen within the next few weeks. Beyond that we don't know the title or what it will cover, other than the Battle of Beowulf. Probably. Maybe.

I'd also like to welcome Nago to the forum. Then I'll chime in with the other handle David Weber is known by here; which is 'RFC'. Nago, that's short for runsforcelery, which is his user name here. He hasn't posted anything is a while, but keep an eye out sometimes when he needs a break from writing books he'll poke his head in and we'll get a burst of post answering questions, or dropping (potentially misleading) hints, or giving naval history lessons |

The last few chapters of Cauldron of Ghosts are later than SoF's ending by a couple of weeks...

You never know. His wife, his age, his interests in other directions. I sometimes wonder if Honor Harington hasn't become something of a loadstone for him. I think he would never dishonor this Honor Harington saga of his by whipping something off just to be done with it but if that is the case it might be harder and harder for him to find that creative energy necessary to do those final books. I wouldn't be surprised if the final couple of books take 5-7 years to complete. I hope I am wrong.

Hello,
Hopefully he catches up a'flow' and finishes the story. If there are 3 or even 4 or 5 books and every year one goes on sale, that would be fine. Please David Weber don't let us wait that long anymore. |

No, whether he intended it or not, "Loadstone" is more accurate than "Millstone" if you use the gaming version: .
. . Answers! I got lots of answers! (Now if I could just find the right questions.) |

He's said there are two more books and two more major battles. Of course, plans change and sometimes the story takes off by itself. He originally thought there were only five books in the original story arc that went through At All Costs. There were actually 11. |
