Sharleyan is a BAMF.I have to admit I truly admired her handling of events post-assassination attempt--the one in Manchyr, not the on at Ste. Agtha's.
I don't know if Thirsk will ever rise as magnificently to the occasion as Tom Theisman did, or if he'll even be given the opportunity to.Talk to me again after you've read
Hell's Foundations Quiver, or the mini snippets.
Anyway, I'm thrilled to be here, thoroughly enjoying my first romp through this world, and looking forward to read-through number two so I can stop going "but what's going to happen next??" and actually start putting together some more cogent, in-depth, critically thought out opinions on the sociopolitical landscape of this fascinating new world, which we all know is my favorite thing to do with any of RFC's works.Your enthusiasm is contagious.
One of the things I enjoy most is seeing Merlin through other people's eyes. Pardon all of the following errors, but I'm working from memory here...the scene at Ste. Zherneou's--"springs from a fidelity you can't imagine. Are you the second string to her bow?" Earl Corin at the rescue from Talkyra--"the man's got style!" And later, the head of Daivyn's security detail--"Of course he is! Whole point of the exercise."
I recently came across a quote for the first time that I'm rather fond of.
“There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man.” Patrick Rothfuss
