Ah well. We're all now waiting for the book, I guess. And I shall be away when it comes out . . .

AND I shall still be away when "A Call to Arms" comes out!

Here's to hoping that we get one more snippet before launch...already pre-ordered on Audible, but the 13th is too far away, plus I'll have Call to Arms and Shadow of Self before that. Lol...I might have to put those on the chiller for HFQ tho...

The eARC for "A call to arms" has been out for weeks, so there's no reason to wait..." ;)

"Oh bother", said Pooh as he glanced through the airlock window at the helmet he'd forgotten to wear.

Not over here in the UK, it isn't. :( I've been checking the Baen Books site regularly for weeks, and I've just checked it again. No sign of it, I'm afraid.

I'm in the uk and I bought my eARC the day it was released

if you click the following link it will take you to a page where you can sign up to be notified of eARC releases.

Octavian30 and Dauntless,

Thank you both very much indeed, I'm grateful for your help. :)

I don't understand why it didn't pop up on the eARC page I usually check, though. Sword of the South appeared, no problem.

Well I don't understand this at all. I've just gone to the Baen Catalog, selected an author, clicked on a random book, and a button to the eARC list showed up on the left of the window. I clicked on that, and the books listed are:

Her Brother's Keeper - eARC,
Mission: Tomorrow - eARC,
Raising Caine - eARC,
Rhythm of the Imperium - eARC, and
Son of the Black Sword - eARC

in that order. And that's it. No sign of "Call to Arms" anywhere. I'm obviously doing something wrong, but what the blazes is it?

:?

It shows up as the first eARC in the list if I go to http://www.baenebooks.com/default.aspx? and then click on Advanced Reader Copies. It doesn't matter whether I log in or not, it appears either way.

I thought the availability might be country dependent, so I fired up the Tor version of Firefox, which bounces your signal from one computer to another so it appears you're from another country, and tried it with IP addresses from Romania, the Netherlands, France, and the United Kingdom. It worked every time, so the eARC appears to be available in Europe as well as the USA.

I'm out of ideas as to why you can't see it either. You might try contacting Baen directly at info@baen.com, or their technical support division at baensupport@principledtechnologies.com

Good luck!
