I'm not so sure about the 10ccs but in printing they have a measure of 'column inches', so perhaps you mean ... "Give me 10 column inches of Snippet, stat!" However, I fear MWW appears to be otherwise occupied. Can it be STAT if the wait is until 13 Oct 2015? -----

To paraphrase our beloved author: "On the scale that God builds star systems ..." 13 Oct 2015 may be STAT. After all it is only another eight five days. For this poor mortal, I am afraid I am going to have to start reading history again. RFC/MWW please don't throw me back into my library! I might even have to pay more attention to my long suffering wife and my job making them expect that in the future. |

Hmm maybe considering DWs current medical condition, that might not have been the best choice for an analogy but I understand how u feel. All things considered, I will be happy to have more novels, even if it means fewer snippets. After all it's only a few more five days till we get the whole story and you can spend the time awaiting in prayer, meditation and flights of wild speculation. |

In the Book World section of the Washington Post, Aug.30th there is a story about the Library of Congress National Book Festival Sept. 5th at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington DC. From 3:30 to 4:15 Weber will be talking, and signing at 2:00. Just thought a few forumites in the Washington area might be interested, I don't know why Weber will not post his appearances to the Forum. Just saying.

Dear God! Don't post Items like this buried 66 pages into the snippet links. This needs it's own page in the main links sir! I could actually make this! Larry |

Three fortnights to go, a mere 42 days, 1 and a half Lunar Cycles, a GOP 'debate', a State Department dump of emails, two Labor Department 'Jobs' reports and ever so much more to keep me from a daily check of this forum for a surcease of my snippet hunger. Won't work, I'll still be doing it! PS: I had to make this post because leaving it at Alistair's would have left it at #666 and that is simply too superstitious for the luck of a faintly possible SNIPPET! Please Lord Weber! -----

I feel confident now that we have had the Last Snippet.
I just wish that RFC/MWW had confirmed this then we could not waste time on this speculation. I'll wait for the BOOK now. |

Since we were given the last snippet roughly two weeks before the original release date of the book, it's quite possible that we've gotten the entire portion of the book that RFC intended to snippet. Since he's been rather busy with real life, having the snippeting finished with would be a bit of a relief for him. Forgetting to tell us that he's finished snippeting is unfortunately not a relief for us! If this is that last snippet, and we all certainly hope it isn't, a note saying that "This will be the last snippet" would have been very helpful added to the introduction of snippet #28. Of course I'd have written a few dozen fewer posts since I'd have pretty much have abandoned the forums until the book comes out. As of now we're be pretty much up to date on what to expect after reading the first 1/3 of the book or so, and a couple of battles are setting themselves up nicely, although I still think DE had better swat the Dohlarans aside at Evrytyn if he is indeed headed north to remove Kaitswyrth from our troubles forever. (And I'm very suspicious of the military briefing that Cahnyr just received. There's gotta be a Dohlaran spy in the room, or Hanth is a dead man...) In the meantime, best wishes to RFC, and I'll wait as fast as I can, even if the wait continues all the way to the actual publication date... "Oh bother", said Pooh as he glanced through the airlock window at the helmet he'd forgotten to wear. |
