I come as a bearer of hope, and pourer of oil on wounded hearts... the last snippet was on the 27th July, so maybe, just maybe there will be another in a two days time [27th Aug] :-)

We are all at the mercy of a brilliant but completely disorganized author!!! Having just read HFQ I feel it is extremely unlikely you will get any more snippets. The follow on book will be of great interest but it is against the odds I shall be around to read it. RPC has too much on his plate and needs 'She who must be obeyed" to step in and organize him otherwise you will all miss out on the balance of books which should be forthcoming. I wish all of you the best of luck in trying to get RFC to reduce in size, slow down and pace himself. It will be a right royal battle but if you do not win....

As a note of really no moment I do not appreciate being an Ensign. As far as I am concerned the best place to view the sea is from over 50,000ft.

Then you can be ensign PICA in a recon skimmer! :)

The best way to solve the problem with being an ensign is to post 25 times after which you will be a Lieutenant Jg.!

Me? I'm still very optimistic. Still checking lots of times every day. Yes, I'm definitely HOOKED... Line and sinker too! ;)

Can't you just visualise RFC thinking, "what?! It's been a month since the last snippet, no...six weeks? Oh to h**l with it! The book's coming out pretty soon anyhow..."

No, I don't visualize that at all. I prefer to imagine him suddenly exclaiming, "GADZOOKS! It's been forever since I catered to my loyal band of fanatical followers sad, sad addiction. I'd better post sobering immediately!"

As I sit here arm wrapped in a massive cast wallowing in self-pity I am occasionally brought up short by remembering that there are those who's situations are far worse. My prayers are with you. And may we all make it to toast a glass of mead in that far off Valhalla were the stories never end and the bards entertain forever. Skål!

Just a shot of perspective to cheer you up. At least for now, be happy that it is not the full-blown political season! Imagine lying there with wall-to-wall political advertisements (or rather relish that you are not) going for months! I am very tempted to shut down all devices and try to hibernate till Thanksgiving of 2016 but with my luck it will turn into a repeat of 2000.

Still, sympathies for your maladies! ;)

Unfortunately, DW hasn't logged onto forums since August 3rd, so he hasn't seen the recent kvetching (or begging).

Sigh,
