Babylon 5: Messages From Earth (Season 3 Ep 8)
Garibaldi: Thought I’d stop in and see how you’re doin’. G’Kar: Fine. Fine! Two weeks down, six to go before I’ve repaid my debt to society for attacking Mollari. I’ve taken the opportunity provided by my incarceration to meditate, to think…sometimes I even sing! Garibaldi: I know. We got a petition. G’Kar: For, or against? Garibaldi: Based on the sound, they think we’re torturing you in here. |

Saw a Freudian typo today from somebody posting about "the givernment".
Of course, from my perspective it would be "the takernment". ------------------ How can the politicians keep calling their runaway government spending "investment"? I suppose "flushing your tax money down a rat-hole" just wouldn't play well. |

Of course what Morden's associates usually do is grant people their wishes in ways that make them regret ever making the wish. So the expression on Morden's face when he hears that wish is hilarious IMO I always imagined that Morden probably set out to eliminate any enemies Vir had after hearing the wish, thus delaying Vir's death and the fulfillment of his wish as long s he could. And Vir only got part of the wish thankfully. He lived long after the rest of his wish was fulfilled. |

From A Civil Campaign by Lois McMaster Bujold
Simon Illyan: Do you know all those old folk tales where the Count tries to get rid of his only daughter's unsuitable suitor by giving him three impossible tasks? Ekaterin: Yes... Simon: Don't ever try that with Miles. Just....don't. |

From Heaven Is For Real
Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense |

The quote has nothing to do with religion, rather magic. Though it seems to fit religion as well. It's an actual swipe at both sides of the fence. Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense |
