Wasn't Bardasano or her evil twin (I know, they are both evil) briefing the Detweilers on a number of topics and mentioned in passing that they had resolved the Descroix problem?
Presumably definitively. And lethally.

I don't know. Maybe Honor arraigned for Suchon to be assigned to Basingford. Under Alfred. Make her or break her. I know, Dr. Harrington (this Dr, Harrington) is a neuro, while Suchon is either a generalist or a shock/trauma specialist. Still be an interesting first day. "Hello, Dr. Suchon, I'm Dr. Harrington. I'll be your reporting official. And my daughter has told me all about you." |

that is evil! congratulations!
honestly given everything that happened on bassilisk and Honor's no doubt less then stellar performance review she might have just been told to resign. Told, not asked. I know being asked is the polite way of kicking them out but I doubt if they wanted her gone they would be poltie about it. |

I'm not so sure that this wouldn't be tantamount to killing her -- sentencing her to death as well. Surely you know of the phrase "out of the frying pan into the fire?" Well remember, Alfred Harrington is where Honor gets her tick... "What makes you think I'll listen to you any more than I did your idiot daughter!" "Suchon!!! SUCH-ON THIS!" " cccc ccaa caann t br br br breathe " Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense |

Doctor Alfred Harrington had been retired from RMN service for some time at that point. He's still retired from the RMN. At some point prior to OBS he had gone into private practice - remember, Hauptman's leverage/threat against Honor was that both of her parents were with the Duvalier Medical Group - which Hauptman had a large stake in by way of one of his subsidiary corporations. |

JChilds made the mistake of (re)introducing me on another thread to one Senator Ninon Bourchier, former Aprilist personally responsible for seven assassinations, one of the first to rally in support of the Theisman Coup after Saint-Just met his timely end, and ultimately high-ranking senator and member of the Constitutional Progressives who was in on the peace talks with Honor Harrington before Oyster Bay kicked the shit out of Manticore and Grayson and prompted my darling's mad midnight dash to the former to heal all of my heartbreak in a single stroke.
So, my kinda gal. Now, given that this is me, obviously she is single until explicitly proven otherwise. (Not that that ever stopped me before, mind you. Threesomes are fun!) Who do we pair her off with?? ~*~

By evil twin, do you refer to Aldona Anisimovna? And yes, Isabel did indicate that Descroix was no longer a problem, which for her means dead. Rob |

As a colleague, she could be a member of a seemingly innocuous looking trio of bridge players called the "movers&shakers" -- Estelle Matsuko, Cathy Montaigne and Senator Ninon Bourchier. I know for a fact the Senator is a hell raiser -- she gives my spell checker fits. Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense |

True. But I'm sure that a six-month call up could have been arranged for Dr. Harrington to spread his knowledge among the new interns and residents at Basingford. And those experienced physicians who were going to be dealing with neurological injuries from the coming war. Just long enough to write the new textbook example of a referral OER on a certain former ship's surgeon. |

Exactly. Would the Malign have bothered trying to recover the small fortune she managed to exfiltrate off Manticore into a system with banking rules that make the Swiss look lax? |
