At least we haven't descended to outright bribery - crowdfunding snippets could get expensive for the true addicts, even if it was limited to raising enough money to ship RFC a bottle of the good stuff when people were especially twitchy. ;)

Sadly I fear that RFC is totally incorruptible and above such weaknesses :-(

I say there's only one way to find out!

I'm not sure what it says that blood sacrifices are considered to be at least one step above outright bribery on this forum, but I think I've found my spiritual home (which is good because I don't see anybody on this forum letting me move into their physical home  )

Give it four hours or so and it will have been a full calendar month.

#26 MUST have been the last one.

Shame, really.

I don't think so. Because he is also snippeting "The Road to Hell" over in the Multiverse forum. And there have only been 4 or 5 snippets so far from it. They were generally coming out the same day as the HFQ snippets. But no new ones there either since the start of June. All signs point to RFC just not having time to put up snippets. I just hope he is busy writing and is not having health problems or family issues.

I hope he is relaxing on the beach with his favorite beverage and his family. These past several months had to have been stressful.

checking RFC's profile says that the last date online was june 20th, and usually he posts if something is the last snippet.

Big question is only if he has no time because he's swamped with work, or if it is something more serious...

Yep you heard it correctly, I'm actually requesting no snippet for the next 4 days. I have a final exam for my Environmental science class opening on the 10th and I don't need the distraction. Thanks to no new snippet I have been able to complete my final research paper and finish the last discussion questions. I was also able to get the annual 4th of July BBQ done in peace. So no new snippet has been a gift, in a way. Yep making all kinds of progress with the real world. I get this last test out of the way and I'm set for my summer! At this rate I'll get the garden weeded and the kitchen cleaned. Who knows, I might even get the bathroom remodel finished! Hang the ceiling fan in the dining room, clean my basement, do some dishes... The possibilities are endless! See having no new snippet means it's time to get back to mundane existence and all the boring rat race routine. Fiction is just a distraction. In fact I should dump all my reading, put my nose to the grindstone and get that honey do list rolling!
Of course while everyone else maybe happier I'll be becoming paler and more haggard. Fading out into banal insipidity, but it's the price you have to pay, right? Right? SO lets forget about these snippets, lets roll with the punches and get back to the small, miserable existences we were momentarily lifted from by these fantastical visions. Back to the endless grey without chance of color or hope.

That was absolutely HILARIOUS, and a much needed bit of humor on this rather desperate thread.

Thanks for giving us some perspective.

To RFC, best wishes, and let me add a not so subtle hint that Drak is still available if you're too busy to snippet on a regular basis. Retaining his services would go a long way toward relieving our angst about your health and your family's health whenever a snippet is "late." ;)

"Oh bother", said Pooh as he glanced through the airlock window at the helmet he'd forgotten to wear.
