Arcanian Civil War Implications?

There are certain statements by the author that MAY indicate it remains two sided for some time.

Also with Arcana exploring for two hundred years, before finding Sharona, it appears unlikely that they will find a third party in the next several years.

Um, no. Arcana is only going down one of them, the one towards Sharonia.

boballab probably got confused because the chain from Hell's Gate to Sharonia splits and recombines. And so the HHNF does talk about the Arcanans moving down parallel chains; but they're parallel just from Thermyn to Traisum, not from Hell's Gate..


Just going from the HHNF diagram, Hell's Gate connects to
a) Mahritha (towards Arcana)

Eight? Gadrial's portal-finder found six, since that was the maximum it could detect. The farthest of those six was about three hundred miles away, and we know that at least four of them are in very close proximity (someone on a dragon could see four at once). But I don't remember anyone saying anything about eight portals. Where did you find that?

Also, we only really know the locations of two; Arcana and Sharona. Neither side explored the others yet. Some Sharonians fled through one (to the rain forests of South America) when the war kicked off, but there was no exploring done before that and we haven't seen anything from them more than a few hundred feet into the jungle. Chan Baskay said something about two within fifteen miles of Fallen Timbers and another sixty or so miles away, so they located them, but I don't think they explored them.

As for it becoming a three (or more) sided war, it's possible. Some posters think all the portals in that universe might have a civilization. It would be an interesting story if it happened. But there's no textev, obviously. If I remember correctly, MWW has said that no, for the first quartet, it'll just be Sharona and Arcana. He wants to add us in the next set, several decades later. It was in a really long interview on YouTube, if I remember right. Does anyone else remember hearing that, or know where to find it?

3. With 5 mystery portals why are we assuming it will stay a 2 sided war? Someone stumbles through one of those portals at the wrong time and they will get blown away and make it a 3 or more sided war.
