This is Liberty Con weekend and David Weber is the Guest Of Honor. :)

I just saw David and he apologizes, but "real life got in the way". He looks good and says he's sorry and may give a bigger snippet when he next posts.

He sends his best!

I'm jealous. I couldn't make Liberty Con. ;) ;)

Glad for the news - I was about to change my tagline again, since that has seemed to result in a new snippet a couple of times. Not my idea, but some people suggested that I try it when the interval between snippets has dragged out beyond the two weeks before I allow myself to become impatient. It's actually worked surprisingly well!

Since I really LIKE my current tagline and RFC won't be posting anything until Monday at least, I'll hold off for a few days...

"Oh bother", said Pooh as he glanced through the airlock window at the helmet he'd forgotten to wear.

McGuiness: I would like to ask you a favor concerning you sign off at the end of your messages, and this is in no way an attempt to start a flame war. But your "Oh bother," said Pooh, as he realized that "very little brain" was just a polite euphemism everyone had been using for Down's syndrome. Is offensive. I have a daughter who is going to be 26 in another few weeks who was born with Down Syndrome. In some areas she is very high functioning, and in other not so much. For example, she holds a 2nd degree belt in Tae Kwon Do (BTW, she had major heart surgery before she was a year old), and her verbal comprehension is also very high. Her speech is delayed, and she has almost no math skills. She has a part time job, enjoys a wide range of movies, and I can go on. The point is she has a lot of brains, and that is why I think you sign off is offensive. Again, I'm not trying to start a flame war, and I would discourage others from joining. I'm not a fan of political correctness, and I tend to pretty much let things go, and seek reasonable solutions. Thanks.

Well, it is after Liberty Con and it is after the 15:12 EDT US, the post time of the previous 2 snippets and my thirst remains unassuaged! Shall nothing continue to parch my throat? Dry dust billows as I scan the forum for the 'Cool Clear Water' of a HFQ Snippet but no, only mirages dot the sight-lines.

As a matter of interest, just how long does it take to prepare and post a snippet?
