That leaves us with 3 options (if Trynairs musings regarding Langhorne are about the current suite): 1. Langhorne survived the nuke. 2. Langhorne appeared as a hologrom in the suite. 3. Langhorne had a PICA. Or 4. Laghorne's meetings were on the Hamilcar, and the Hamilcar was incorporated into the building of the Temple. ~Tonto |

On 1) in that fith imperium article that Tonto quote earlier, I noted this straight from the lips of RFC
Langhorne is dead. "This Langhorne is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker!" |

See 2, it was implied that the hologram of Langhorne was a posthumous creation. --- Jack of all trades and destructive tinkerer. Anyone who have simple solutions for complex problems is a fool. |

That idea has been rattling around in my head for a while now, but I don't think it really fits the bill in this instance. --- Jack of all trades and destructive tinkerer. Anyone who have simple solutions for complex problems is a fool. |

The Hamilcar was the biggest of the colony ships, and far too big to be landed on a planet. --------------------------------------------

I's suppose that the legend is true, and Langhorne did appear in that room as a hologram. Previously, all the speculation has been about what is under the temple, but this would indicate that the temple itself contains a lot more technology (beyond the HVAC system, doors, and some of the chairs) than would really be needed to support the Church in the form envisioned by Langhorne's followers. Granted, some of this would have been useful to the surviving archangels, but just how much more is there?

What I asked myself is: Is there any textev that the entire temple was build after the nuke? And that the entire colony HQ which was here before the War of the Fallen was destroyed? Is it possible that there were parts of the colony HQ which survived Kau-Yung's pocket nuke and which were incorporated into the newer, bigger Temple? Merlin/Nimue said it would take a major nuke to destroy the temple? Is it possible that the pocket nuke was simply to small/weak? In which case that room could be simply older than the rest of the temple and the real and alive Langhorn could have been there. |

Are you sure he's not just pining for the fjords? --

Must have been a realy good vest pocket nuke if they were able to rebuild the temple within just a couple of years and not have much challange with the radiation from the divice. One would think that having a nuclear bomb go off within a headquarters building should play havoc with the site for a while. All that messy radiation. How did they deal with the nice crater if it was an on ground or underground blast? How much really important equipment did they lose, I mean, just how small can you make a nuclear explosion? |
