I don't have 'better information', but I do recall Himself saying some years ago that 1/4 was his preferred stopping point.

In reply, if you can believe it, to some clown complaining that 1/3 of a recent book had been snippeted, and there wasn't enough left when he got his hands on the paper copy! [and then there's the idiots who offend authors by complaining that they're snippeting wrong by only putting up a few words here and there. some people...]

By the way, I'm still dying for a Clyntahn (however you spell it) conniption snippet or "cnippet" as y'all once corrected me.

That said, by the time the book officially comes out, how much of it will we have already been able to read?

All this aside, I really do hope Mr Weber is doing well and has fully recovered.
I'd hate to throw a tantrum that would make these Schulerites blush because Honor's story (among many, many, many other characters in our other favorite series) is left unfinished at this crucial juncture.

From what I recall of LAMA, snippets will probably cover about a quarter of the book. I could stand to be corrected on this by someone with better info, however.

Personally, I wanted to wait 10 days, but given the setup of this forum, I think that we will have to agree to plead serially and sequentially rather than all together (coordination issues you know! :) )

I believe we are now on a 2 week schedule for Safehold. Looks like sometime between Friday and Sunday.

How about celebrating the 200th anniversary of the battle of Waterloo [18th June] with a nice battle snippet then... that would be good timing, what could be more appropriate :-)

I think it would be better to have a snip-it today to celebrate the British taking Bunker hill on the 17th. (Fought on Breeds Hill)

50,600 words and counting ... How many words do you reckon in LAMA, say? Anyone?

It starts as a small empty sensation just barely noticeable, then it is a noticeable ache followed by that annoying itch that you just cannot stop. Finally it becomes an avaricious obsession as one finds oneself unable to avoid the occasional that becoms an incessant LOOK!

Right now I am guesstimating that since our fiend has put out his last 2 snippets at the same time, maybe there is an alarm clock somewhere in the wilds of north South Carolina that goes off.
I'M WAITING ...
