Excellent Rome-Britain eBooks at Amazon (Cato's Cavalry)

Alt.Hist. - What if an aggravated training sergeant left in the limbo of late Roman Britain had a 'brilliant' thought? In a now 3 volume set of eBooks from Amazon, maybe history would change. First volume shows the author with a somewhat labored writing style that smooths out in the other volumes. Minimal costs at 3 & 4 USD (short volumes NOTHING like RFC length) but worth the read (to me).

I absolutely loved the first two volumes, but I think Volume Three, while good, was more of a build up to a new story line, rather than a great story in it's own right (Volume One and Two were definitely fine stories).

He's also done Volume One of another story where the Republican, Marcus Tullius Cicero gets his hands on some modern history books and sets about making a few small changes

It's called: The Books from the Future - Volume One, I've been checking amazon daily for over a year looking for Volume Two.

I was beginning to think I was the only one who stumbled upon these hidden gems of stories!

Yes, I have red and ENJOYED Mr Jones' take on late Republican Rome. Have you also read this author's "Fireflies of Port Stanley" - love Mr Jone's acerbic attitude towards bureaucracy in all his books!
