Wow, I have an image of a stream of screaming Dorsai marching double-time down the length of a Raptor and leaping through a ventral hatch with grav-chutes...

If you have never read Gordon Dickson's Dorsai series, then you should run - not walk- to the nearest bookstore/library and score copies while waiting for the next Weber book to come out. And I envy you the experience of reading them for the first time.
