Which is just a way to say that I registered for Liberty Con, which is scheduled for Chattanooga 26-28 June. The MWW is the Guest of Honor, and Eric Flint will be holding a 1632 Minicon as part of the event. He'll also be holding court on several panels along with Bu9. Since Chattanooga is only 120 miles from home, it's an easy one to make.

I also plan to attend Honorcon 30 Oct-1 Nov in Raleigh- Durham, but haven't booked that yet.

I would have liked to attend Manticon this month, but after using 90% of my leave spending most of March and a week in April in Australia/New Zealand (why yes, I am bragging... 8-) ;) ), I have to pick my sites (and budgets) a little more carefully.

For those who haven't been to a SF Con, they are interesting groupings, usually friendly but with folks having their own interests and often meeting up and spending most time with old friends. As I do not do well in large (or even medium) social groups, I don't interact as much as others, but I still enjoy the presentations, the costumes, and the panels.

And at least this is smaller than Dragoncon... :o

So..anyone else have SF Cons in their future plans, especially those featuring the MWW? I'm usually good for a beer...unfortunatley, none of the bars seem to stock Old Tillman...

ETA: I see that there is a Convention section on the Board, but (1) is is hardly used and (2) I'm seeing if any folks here are going, or at least making plans, so that I might spot a friendly (or at least make contact) with someone I've come to know in the Honorverse.

Sadly, David almost never gets to the Northeast except on occasional book tours. But we have a number of prominent cons in the area. I go to one almost every year. Our housemate goes to half a dozen cons a year, traveling across half the country. Last year she made it to WorldCon in London. She's deep in the filking community.

I'm most likely going to do Honorcon again this fall. Not sure if I'd manage anything else.

Yes, I will be attending Sasquon15. Better known as the World SiFic convention in Spokane WA this summer.

Not probably going to honorcon. Too little honorverse meat and too much trek and cosplay, sprinkled with SJW bs.

Preferably North West USA? Los Vegas NV USA would be kinda doable as I have friends and family in the general area. I need a vacation. HB
