I decided to Draw a picture of Charisian Rifle from By Heresies Distressed. I hope you like it and if so, feel free to look around my DA account.

When the rifle was fired, you would be extremely lucky if you only fried your face. More than likely you would blind yourself also. The flintlock is right where your face would be if you were shooting right handed.

I was only working off what was described in the book.

Just move the flintlock forward to be above the trigger. Otherwise you have this incredibly complicated set of linkages between trigget and flint release.

I think that there was a previous thread on this topic. Your drawing is for a left handed shooter. If you added a shield to protect the shooter's face it would, in theory, be usable.

Looks like a spot on drawing of a left handed version of the ones the scout snipers used against corisande.

But if you do that, it won't be a bullpup design.....

The linkages wouldn't be particularly complex, a straight bar would work. The shooters ears would be ringing though as the action would be in line with his ear and with a flintlock you would be getting a scorched ear with every shot from the priming powder in the frizzen pan. I'd move the action right to the back of the rifle or even over the shoulder of the shooter.

Just use software to "flip" the drawing for a mirror image.

Then it will work.

When I looked at the picture then reread the description of the charisian Rifle this is what it reminded me of

http://banditospearguns.com/bandito-pan ... spearguns/

Remove the flintlock, add spear shaft and rubber bands for cocking and you have a Panther speargun.... easy to use since I still go spearfishing alot.
