Also there is no discussion here or in the books about how fast Grayson might get their construction infrastructure back up and running. Or any information about how many resources they may be getting to help them recover.

Grayson is really screwed. They don't have two high tech neighbors on the other end of a wormhole who are willing to ship them lots of multi-billion dollar 50 million ton modules on credit.

One thing I am not seeing even mentioned here is what does the RHN bring to the table. After all, it no longer has to worry about securing it's systems against attack by the RMN, which I would imagine would free up a LOT of ships to do all sorts of nasty things to FF. Sure, they don't have Apollo, but they do have MDM's, and they have managed to keep the RMN from steamrolling them (with two exceptions) for a long time now. Personally, I sure wouldn't want to be the FF captain that had to tangle with a squadron of Havenite BC's, or any comparable weight in metal truth be told. And Haven's shipbuilding capabilities haven't been touched. Again, they aren't up to Manticoran specs, but they are a damned sight better than what FF has.

On the other hand, they really shouldn't need to have the infrastructure to produce the fifth-largest and second most effective navy in the Honorverse if their allies aren't being stupid ...

I don't expect that Grayson will get as large an infusion of capital as Manticore. But I do expect them to rebuild. I'm sure that Sky Domes will be there to help along with Hauptman Enterprises, even though both took a heavy hit with OB. But perhaps more importantly, the Graysons are tough people well acquainted with the cost of war long before Manticore came along and will be busy hauling themselves up by their own bootstraps.

They do need to manage themselves in such a way as to participate more in non military economic activity such as trade. But I think they will figure that out too. I've lots of faith in the Graysons.

Hmm, SkyDomes needs to increase its income streams. Once all of the domes get built on Grayson, its revenue will dry up leaving LOTS of workers without work.

Somehow I highly doubt that Billions of people along with the associated Millions of acres of farmland on planet Grayson are domed or will be domed in the near term. But, it is never bad to think long term.

Sky Domes has no reason not to rebuild its space based industry infrastructure. Has the working capital if nothing else to venture back into the field.

Hauptman? Far more worried about his Manticore holdings. He still has his Alizon yards pumping out ships. Zanzibar got reamed. Anyone want to bet that Alizon gets run over by the SLN just for grins?

I believe that SkyDome bought out Hauptman's share of the Blackbird yards. You're probably right that they are too busy in Manticore to do anything for Grayson.

Yes, I would like to see Haven creating task forces with something like 6 SD(P)s and bunches of BCs and smaller units. Manticore or Grayson could send along ships with Ghost Rider for recon capabilities. These task forces would drop in on Verge and Shell sector HQ systems. They would capture every FF ship there and scuttle them. They would leave behind a small task force (bring lots of smaller ships) to discuss regime change or political and economic alliances and move on with the "hammer" to pound another sector HQ or some system in the same sector that has a concentration of ships. The idea is to eliminate the ships that the SLN could use for commerce raiding. You would never be able to get them all, but you could get a lot of them.

Havenite tactics are still built around 8 SD(p)s - don't forget to add a CLAC for defenses and mop up tactics.

RFC said "refitting a Beowulfan SD to Manticoran standards would be just as difficult as refitting a standard SLN SD to those standards. In other words, it would be cheaper and faster to build new ships."
