Well it's just like MTaT and HFF, then.

My mistake, I was looking at paperback page counts, however, I still would like 850 pages. :>)

We all wish that all of RFC's books were as long as "Mission of Honor," but he can only dictate so fast. I'm actually surprised that he manages to write as quickly as he does. (I posted an exhaustive list of his books and the number of pages in them a couple of years ago if anybody wants to look that up. I'm too lazy to do it...) ;)

Of course if he didn't have so many irons in the fire and Safehold were his only series, we'd get a new book every six months or so. I'm not willing to sacrifice the Honorverse however, and fortunately RFC isn't either.

I comment MUCH more here in the Safehold forums mostly because Baen offers ARCs of it's upcoming releases, and I can NEVER resist the temptation to grab them as soon as they're available. Once you've read the novel, it's best not to post about it, lest you slip and let out a nasty spoiler... Oddly enough that means I enjoy the Safehold books more, since I get them a mere snippet at a time, so I have the opportunity to conjecture and comment about them until publication day. Were Baen not so generous, I'd probably feel the same about the Honorverse books - not that I'm complaining!

"Oh bother", said Pooh as he glanced through the airlock window at the helmet he'd forgotten to wear.
