Treecats are the cleanest killers in the Honorverse.
They offer complimentary blood baths with their kills. Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense |

An alternative is that the Army Rugby team wear red shirts at inter-service matches "so that the blood doesn't show", The Royal Navy wear blue "for the same reason". |

CThia's band of unlikely vigilante(s) get into a discussion about who is "kilo for kilo" the toughest SOB in the group. The 'puma gives his weight, speed, and kill numbers. The bear, being bigger, gives his weight, slightly lower speed, and higher kill numbers. Then Thandi Palane walks into the camp and asks if the bear or the 'puma would like to spar because she needs a change from fighting with the other two legs who just aren't tough enough.
The 'cat grins mildly, stretches and says "I got family"... and is quickly voted the winner. Because even Thandi's not gonna to risk starting a fight with a whole clan of telepathic, "six limbed little buzz-claws-as-saws" in a kilo-for-kilo matchup. Talk about the death of a thousand cuts! ---------------------

Got a Christmas gift from my friend Genkis the French cover artist of the French covers. The paperback covers signed on the back. Check the treecat on the book spine there are two other arts a salamander or a manticore on other covers.
They took almost two months to get here and what with the east coast storms and dockworkers strike managed to get moist hence the curling of the cardboard. Enjoy, Poker CPO Poker Mind and, Mangy Fur the Smart Alick Spacecat.

What do you call all of the torn and ripped flesh after a treecat battle?

There is a new SLN sponsored fleet of pirates. Their new design is called the Siren. They lure unwitting freighters and their sailors to a rocky doom by singing the transponder codes of friendly navies.
