I had this discussion with RFC who claims to have actually fired a Ferguson. He states that a cartridge can be used albeit a paper cartridge rather than a metal one.
What I still wonder is if you gave to take the gun away from your shoulder to reload... He counts 8 different motions for reloading as opposed to four for an M96. Don When any group seeks political power in God's name, both religion and politics are instantly corrupted.
