A random search of images associated with HFQ revealed this website: http://www.risingshadow.net/library/book/47828-hell-s-foundations-quiver which has both the cover image and the synopsis of the book.

We already know who the new player is since the epilogue of LAMA. Then again, the SSK issue has not yet been resolved and we have not become privy to the diary of St. Khody and especially its Spanish portions (which I'm sure the SSK are dying to find out about). Of course, any translations would be coming from Merlin, Nimue, OWL and the rest of the Inner Circle and its possible that many of the sisters will reject the translation because it says something that is fundamentally in conflict with their basic faith (much like Sahndaria's reaction to the truth). And of course, the SSK is the third such ancient society we have become privy to (along with Saint Zhernau and the Wylsyn Family). There could be others (though it's extremely unlikely). |

The synopsis is kind of generic and only contain what is already known. What struck me was 2 things:
[spoiler begins - select to read]
Oh, please tag this thread with spoilers since the discussion so far contains them. --- Jack of all trades and destructive tinkerer. Anyone who have simple solutions for complex problems is a fool. |

If that's the cover, it will be interesting to see if, in the book, Merlin and Nimue watch a recon-skimmer use energy weapons on a galleon.

To my eye that is not Nimue. The clothing is unexpected. |

3...2...1...until RFC arrives to tell us that the cover art has no bearing on events that unfold in the book.

Looks like short hair and comfortable clothes so I'm gonna go with Sandaria. |

She is wearing chain-mail, heavy gloves, a cloak, and a KATANA.
I wonder who it could possibly be. I was calling Nimue when LAMA's cover came out, and more then a few people were like, "IMOSSIBLE". At this point how could it be anyone but Nimue? Although to be fair I highly doubt this scene actually happens in the book, so that could be the artist's interpretation of Baron Green Valley's horse traveler. |

"Looks like short hair and comfortable clothes so I'm gonna go with Sandaria."
*** With a Katana strapped to her back? If so, that would be an interesting turn of events. Also, the apparent use of energy weapons introduces another zig or zag in the narrative. Steve |
