I'm quoting the assholes responsible, who opined that Hank's death was a mistake.

Sorry. My response came out a little harsher than I intended, and it pushed one of my hot buttons, and before I could edit the post, it was time to go to church.

No need for an apology. I recognize a Foraker-type button when I see it. I have my own in the Mueller School Dome project. It's called passion. I didn't take offense. We all must stand for something or fall for everything.

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

I know that I was going to stop posting here, and I have pretty much lived up to that vow, but I was re-reading "From the Highlands" (and I could read that story every week and still enjoy it) and found one that need to be here.

Don't ever make Anton Zilwicki angry at you. It is definitely bad for your health and well-being....

He shook his head. "What did they think, Cathy? That I would obey them?" The next words came through clenched teeth. "From the highlands. When they gave me that command, they broke faith with me. Damn them and damn all aristocracy! I'll do as I must, and answer only to the Queen. If she—she, not they!—chooses to call that treason, so be it. I'll have my daughter back, and I'll piss on the ashes of those who took her from me."

What? Look, somebody's got to have some damn perspective around here! Boom. Sooner or later. BOOM! -LT. Cmdr. Susan Ivanova, Babylon 5

and from later in the same story:
To her astonishment, Jeremy clapped his hands once and said: "Enough! I agree! You have just won our long-standing argument!"
Cathy's jaw sagged. Glaring, Jeremy sprang to his feet. "What? Did you really think I took any pleasure in killing all the people I have? Did you now?"
He didn't wait for a response. "Of course I did! Enjoyed it immensely, in fact. Especially the ones I could show my tongue to before I blew 'em apart. To hell with that business about revenge being a dish best served cold. It's absolute nonsense, Cathy—take my word for it. I know. Vengeance is hot and sweet and tasty. Don't ever think it isn't."
He grinned up at her impishly. "Ask the good Captain, why don't you? He's obviously a man of parts. Wonderful fellow!" Jeremy lowered his voice, trying to imitate Zilwicki's basso rumble: " '—and I'll piss on the ashes of those who took her from me.' "
He cackled. "T'wasn't a metaphor, y'know? I dare say he'll do it." Jeremy cocked his head at Isaac. "What do you think, comrade?"

Love Jeremy's attitude.

From ART:

"I swear, I've known three-year-olds with higher maturity quotients than either of you!"

"Hey, he started it!" Cachat said virtuously, jabbing a finger in Zilwicki's direction.

"Did not."

"Did to!"

"Didn't!"

"Did!"

"Stop it!" Yana thwacked Cachat on the back of the head, then shook an index finger under Zilwicki's nose.

Cauldron of Ghosts
Taken literally, the gesture might have led to the conclusion that the hard-bitten atheist Victor Cachat had suddenly become a believer, since there was nothing beyond the ceiling other than the heavens.

Those that have seen beyond an inordinate amount of killing often find it rather difficult to believe in a Supreme Being that would allow such.

It's not wise to make Honor angry: you meet the Salamander in short order.

For those who don't know, that's Aubrey Wanderman to bully Randy Steilman after the former wipes out the latter in HAE.

From HAE. Doesn't Stacy have a cool head in a crisis?

Hutch wrote:"There you are," a familiar voice said. "Welcome back, Rafe."

He turned, the new-kid feeling fading away like a light morning mist. Captain Harrington was standing with Andy Venizelos by the com station, consulting together over a memo pad. "Thank you, Ma'am," Cardones said. "How was the tour?"

"Interesting,"
the captain said. Her voice was casual, but Cardones thought he saw a flicker of something in the exec's face. "Yours?"

"About the same,"
Cardones said, matching her tone. "Permission to resume my station?"

"Permission granted," she said, and smiled. "Enough lazing around, Mr. Cardones. Get back to work."

Fron "With One Stone" by Tim Zahn (Service of the Sword Collenction). Like many quotes, you have to read the story to truly relish the highlighted versions--I do wonder if sometime in the future Honor ever figured it out....

Of course she did. When she got Rafe for her tac officer in Nike, first thing she would have done would have been to read his personnel file to find up what he'd been up to.
