I'm pretty sure he realizes that with the fan base he's got, and the readership this series has, he could drop the whole thing on this forum and sales would still be brisk.

Maybe not quite as robust as he'll see if we're still fiending to know how the story ends, perhaps, but he still wouldn't end up in the poor house.

I must have missed it. When did RFC say that?

I much prefer snippets every 10 days of course, but I can live with one a fortnight. I just wish RFC would tell us what he is going to do then stick to it.

However, he said he was going to do a snippet of Sword of the South over on War God every week or so and the last one there was the 22nd too. So it does look like it's something to do with him rather than concerns about over-snippetting HFQ.

Go back and look at the intro to the first snippet (not the mini-snippets he used as teasers) where he commented that for HFQ snippeting would be longer between and a bit more erratic since he didn't want to snippet too much of the book. At that time we were looking at a publication date in November.

I agree with you that something must be going on. I hope that all is well in the Weber household. An innocuous explanation for this would cheer me greatly.

Yes, but that was forever ago! Since then, if you look at the snippet index, he has actually very regularly given us a snippet every 10 days, except when there has been some particular reason like vacation, Christmas, illness etc. The regularity creates expectation and disappointment. I'm probably just a bit over invested in them, truth be told.

Ah but there is a season for the reason - it is TAX SEASON! Consider the ramifications - Is Wencit practicing medicine when he magically heals someone without referencing the various ACA (Affordable Care Act) guidelines. There are SEVERE penalties assessed for failure to consult or follow guidelines here.

Then you have the problem with vampires - what schedule do you put them in for the actuarial tables. Without that, how can they be properly charged for the medical services they do not need?

So perhaps MWW is trudging through the External & Eternal Revenue Service guides to compute the class life of a PICA, difficult when Merlin sets new records on a daily basis! :o

There you go! RFC is consulting with tax lawyers to see if a PICA can be claimed as a dependent. But the poor irs bureaucrats don't have category from which an answer to the question can be drawn...

You know you're desperate when you go look in the snippets forum just to make sure he didn't put the latest snippet there to mess with us.

14 Days now - this is the second longest wait for a snippet. And the longest was due to the European trip. (He hasn't snuck off to Europe has he) :?:
