Agreed. This time round when a snippet is delayed RFC explains and/or apologises, but he doesn't catch up to the original schedule with the next one. So I reckon it will be at least Sunday.

(Love to be proved wrong mind you ... :D )

It is nice to see I am not the only one that hits refresh every 2 hours.

Do you really wait 2 hours to hit refresh? How very patient of you.

:( :( I must add a minute amount of begging to this mountain of impatience.

Sir, May I have some more, please . . . . . . 8-)

I don't want to give RFC/MWW a bad idea (he comes up with enough of them on his own), but if our next snippet doesn't get here till next Tuesday (2 Feb 15) then all the addicts here will truely have a "Groundhog Day."

As this forum really is part of my 12 step program, I would like to tell my fellow addicts that my current scheme for handling my addiction between fixes involves re-reading the series from the start. (Once I am finished with those books there is the whole Honorverse and other series by this drug dealer.) This approach seems to reduce my snippet cravings somewhat and helps keep the pink elephants away. After all there are only 24 hours in a day and my boss actually expects me to do some productive work, my wife has her own demands on my time (totally unreasonable 8-) but she is a rare gem that let me buy her a vaccum cleaner for Valentine's Day and live), and the mechanics of life in general do distract my cravings somewhat. This of course only reflects my experience and may not translate to others. :D

As a professional tax preparer, my current acronyms of note are IRS, ACA and EITC, rather than MWW or RFC, yet my evening browse always includes a hopeful visit to see if another shoe has dropped. By my calculations, 10 days from the last snippet (#17) should yield gold this weekend. Hope does spring eternal! ;)

Yet, in our joy at the accomplishments of imagination, I ask all of us to remember our true fallen space heroes of this week;
Shuttle Challenger - Michael J. Smith, Dick Scobee, Ronald McNair, Ellison Onizuka, Christa McAuliffe (civilian), Gregory Jarvis & Judith Resnik - 01/28/1986.
Shuttle Columbia - Rick D. Husband, William C. McCool, Michael P. Anderson, Ilan Ramon (Israeli), Kalpana Chawla, (Indian-born), David M. Brown & Laurel Clark - 02/01/2003.

Remembering the fallen from the space program does put the matter of snippets into perspective doesn't it. Snippets or the lack thereof won't transform anybody's existence whereas the space program and its fallen have already changed our lives in countless ways and will continue to do so in the future.

Tuesday Feb 2?

Are you seriously suggesting that we're going to have to wait a year?!?

Hi guys,

It might be better to note the frequency for each day of the the week and hour that RFC blessed us with a snippet in 2014 etc, since IIRC, early Sunday mornings are more likely than Saturday's, if anyone wants to divert themselves by figuring that for all the snippets etc. ;)

Given only 228 days until September 15, we might expect another 23 snippets to look forward to.

Any snippet or post from RFC is good if not great!

Looks like most of the traffic on the forum is devoted to snippet requests

Subtract 7 from your computation - Amazon is quoting a September 8th (Tuesday) for the reading frenzy and, all too soon, sighs for the next book! Of course, this would mean one less snippet as well!

Actually, given that he has been doing about one every 2 weeks, it means 1/2 less snippet which is either 0 or 1 - and like Schrodinger's cat, we won't know until we open the box.
