Finally had another mega night mare. Only this one was rather non usual as it turned out OK and I lived through it. Not only did I live through it, but I survived AND succeeded!

We were on some perfect white sandy beach. Paradise. The ground shakes. EARTHQUAKE! A big one. Just after we regain our feet, the ocean draws back big time. Over one mile.

Yikes!!! I try to yell out to all the other beach goers that a big tsunami is coming, but being dumb fools, they totally ignore me and walk out way into the bay gawking at stuff.

Meanwhile, on the horizon, one can see a white line building up. The onrushing mega tsunami growing big. The roar becomes quite noticeable. But dummies are totally ignoring it all.

All except the closest five, (5) gorgeous topless bikini bottom clad USC FEMALE cheerleaders. University Of Southern California, LA, CA.. It is a very good dream indeed.

Now the approaching mega tsunami is over 100 feet high, still miles off shore, but approaching at a alarming rate of speed. I look around. We are doomed. My heart is aching. Rats!

Then I look down at the white perfect sand and cry out ... "I really want a Class 6 mega tsunami tidal wave shelter right here right now"! Da da! A armored hatch pops into view.

We all go down about 50 feet via steep stairs after I close the blast rated armored hatch that perfectly matches my memory of such a device while touring a USN museum battleship.

The escape chamber looks like the ones I have survived mega freight train wrecks in. Deep underground. Safe. Armored. Perfectly equipped. Me and the aforementioned USC cheer leaders.

Then I had to wake up and go relieve my full bladder. Ah rats. I tried to re establish the dream after returning to bed, but no joy. But ... I lived through this one ... with friends. :) :)

Exactly how is this a 'nightmare'?

It was a nite mare because it started off just like all the others where I do not make it out alive. Also the naggy fact that ... I had to go pee! Darn! Then as much as I willed it, I could not go back again. More darn! That is why it was a nite mare! HB of CJ (old coot) Cm. :) :)

Given the scenario you described above, at least you would have died with a smile on your face.... ;) 8-)

As for me, like cthia, spiders have been my fear for as long as I can remember. It's a little better now, but the thought of holding one in my hand....yucckk....

My brother has the same dread of snakes, which I get along with perfectly well.

Different strokes.

My personal dread is of heights, but I don't have nightmares about them. What I do have is the dream (which I suspect is quite common with many people) after a long drive that I'm still driving and somehow can't stop the car despite sharp curves, cliff edges, trees and what-have-you that mean an impending crash. Fortunately I'm one of the lucky ones who can control a dream, so I turn the car into a plane, pull back on the control column to take off, set autopilot, and go back to sleep.

ZZZZZZZZZZZ

I still occasionally have nightmares that my current mind is trapped in my teenaged brain as a passenger back when I was at a church boarding school, and I have to just put up with all that was happening to me again.
Must have made an impression to last 50 years, and people wonder why I'm not religious.

Otherwise I have the occasional common ones like - being in a runaway car with no steering wheel or brakes, being chased by a large animal that I daren't turn and look at, or being made to watch US sit coms (last one is a joke I hope).
