Musings: the Zilwicki /Usher confab...

Okay, so we know that Cachat and Palane are in Mesa at the end of Cauldron of Ghosts. and Zilwicki is not. Add Kevin Usher as the other Republic of Haven's furry tactics genius, that the system where the planet of Torch lies is big enough to have a planet with an ecosphere AND a wormhole terminus (An F- or G-star, if other threads are correct), the SEM approach to sysem uplift, the existence of Bolthole, etc., and of course the fact that the rest of the Honorverse sans the enemies (MAlign and SL) have a moral stake in the survival of Torch. Kevin's obviously got a HUGE investment in seeing the destruction of genetic slavery throughout the galaxy.

Given the opportunity to get Kevin and Anton together briefly for a confab... [and for Ginny Usher and Cathy M. to get some not-quite-safe-for-prime-time moments on-stage ],

I'll even kick it off so that roseandheather and cthia have a reason to get into the act. It's a given that Anton is going to get well and thoroughly bedded once Cathy's private yacht figures out that he's somewhere nearby. Plus apparently Ginny has the Allison Harrington brand streak of mischief where it comes to stirring the hormonal pot of just about any nearby possessor of XY chromosomes...

Well, we know that Anton and Kevin had time to meet during his stay in Haven when Victor and he provided the bombshell that ended the Haven-Manticore war. And we don't know if he is still in the Manticore system when Anton returns at the end of Cualdron of Ghosts (he is, after all, head of the Havenite police and has a few other duties to worry about).

I concur that Kevin, like most Havenites, has no love of genetic (or any other type of) slavery, but he's got his 'number one troubleshooter' and a man he trusts impicity on it, so he can worry about other things...like the fate of the galaxy and the RH.

Given the opportunity to get Kevin and Anton together briefly for a confab... [and for Ginny Usher and Cathy M. to get some not-quite-safe-for-prime-time moments on-stage ],

OH, I would pay real money if RFC could pull off a reason for Ginny and Cathy to do something...anything as a team.

You would need to redefine the word awesome after that.

And throw in Momma Harrington....

Well, we do know that both were on Torch for the Coronation of Berry, so I guess it is possible that they met then (albeit Haven and Manticore were still technically at war at the time, but that wouldn't stop those two).

Forget the guys. I want to read a nice kinda short juicy blow by blow replay when the two girls go out slumming together some where after they instantly hit it off and become best of buddies, (girl friends) I can imagine it now .... WOW! HB of CJ (old coot) Cm.

Then as girls will just want to have fun, they will eventually get in over their heads and get their tits in a ringer and the aforementioned two guys will have to step in and bang a few dozen heads and bust only several bones. Nothing permanent naturally. Yikes!

Act 2 Scene whatever. Ginny invites intended "prey" (MAlign spy, or such) back and innocently purrs, "by the way, you don't mind 'cats do you...." And Allison chimes in with, "don't worry, we only brought two..." Meow.

Auughh! That is way beyond cruel. Just imagine Cat and Jenn taking their "prey" somewhere and then casually saying ... "OH ... you don't mind a few more girls to add to the "party" do you? Their names also happen to be "Cat".

Then the mind boggles. Well, my feeble mind anyhow. Then Kev and An storm into the room at the critical point of "to tell the truth" to further enlighten the critical, (and immediately maybe non fatal) need to come "completely clean".

To further stir my minds eye ... if the real threat of bodily pain and dismemberment fails to win the day, the Tree Cats themselves can make it well known to the bad guy spies that claws and teeth are ALSO fun and games ... literally.

Wow, that Mesan bodyguard type (strapped to the chair by Z and K) is holding out for a while.... Until Ginny sidles up and says, oh, by the way, we've got a ship incoming with a couple of our friends. Have you by any chance heard of Black Victor and his Mfcane girlfriend? he who splatters brains without twitching and she who breaks bones for sport?
