ALso, i suggested they also publish the things they are not allowing. The idea of it would spread, and people around the world, could potentially start messing around. The church us desperate, so may be willing to allow ideas that are useful or money making, so weakening the proscriptions even more. this would claw at the church, yet cant be directly blamed to charis as they are still officially following the proscriptions.
Once let loose in the world, the church would find it next to impossible to remove.
I understand what you are saying. But there is no need for it. The Charis patent office is already producing a steady stream of new ideas. They are getting more work than they can handle. There is no need for them to drag out ideas that are 400, 600, 800 years old, because they are producing new ideas faster than they can get them published. They just don't have enough people to do it, and there's no point in doing it if they are already producing ideas.
