Not yet, they don't have real medicine so diseases are deadly and death rates are very high. They're hell better than on Earth in XVIII century, but we need modern medicine to make life of people longer. Penicillin shouldn't be that hard to get and it's good for any kind of disease.
Safehold medicine thanks to the book of Pasquale is closer to late 19th Century than 18th century. IIRC, Safehold has "Herbal" medicines that rival modern artificial medicines even though the "theory" behind aseptic practices is couched as divine direction and superstition.
The "Three-score and Ten" is a biblical reference, IIRC, which means that a life expectancy of 70 years predates modern medical practices by about 2,000 years or so.
