I'm not crazy - everybody else is!

If a country could sue for libel, America would have cause to sue those who repeat these falsehoods.

Life still tends to be about kicking butt, not kissing it.

It seems that in talking about any country there is a strong tendency to either glamorize or disparage it. One SF story had the theme that somehow they had managed to get everyone to have a light on their forehead which would light up if they lied. Give you strong odds that if anything along that lines gets done, there will be a back door exception for some people.

Re pity parties:

But whining and complaining won't likely change your situation or how you feel.

The old bait and switch racket was used. Too often politicos use that with us. That is one reason to study at least recent history, such as voting records, and the real world results, if any.

Unless plain speaking is allowed, clear thinking is denied.

Propaganda tells you what to think, good teaching tells you how to use quality thinking methods.

I asked:
How did they manage with politicians?

Or they lied so many times, their minds saw only true statements.
Natural born Politicians wouldn't know a lie if they said it!

It's okay to toot your own horn. The Germans even encourage it.

But never blow your own tuba.

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

It's called the naked truth because lies are fully dressed.
