Turns out we are going 1000 mph rotation speed on the surface of the Earth at the Equator. Less at the pole, yet you weigh 0.3% more at the pole.

The Earth is moving about 66-67,000 MPH around the Sun.

The Sun and Earth are moving about 43,000 mph around in the Milky Way.

The Milky Way is rotating the Sun and Earth and all the other Stars at about 480,000 MPH. More on the outer edge less in the middle.

And the Milky Way is moving through out Galactic Cluster at about 1.3 million MPH; about 1% of the speed of Light.

plus however fast our cluster is moving etc...

So we are moving pretty fast.

Relative to what? It makes no sense to talk about speed in an absolute sense, only about how fast you are moving relative to something else. There are quasars that we are moving away from at 90% of c - which would be about 270,000 kilometers/sec - that's pretty fast.

1 foot from the pole your moving 1/42000 of a mile per hour. 3 or so feet per day. It would take ~1750 days to go 1 mile. Not enough to get dizzy.

I think he was asking about the precession of the Earth's axis, which takes about 26,000 years to for one complete rotation - I don't think you are going to get dizzy from that. If instead you were asking about the rotation of the Earth, standing on the North Pole, you will be making one rotation per day, which also will not make you dizzy.

Just try using this line on the traffic control cop with his radar/lidar and I think you might walk the line for a bit!

I remember something about this in a movie. The driver confused the officer so badly.

Reminds me of the very proabably apocryphal story about the guy who was up in front of the judge for running a red light. He claimed he had been driving fast enough towards the light that the red light had been blue shifted down to green, and therefore he had seen the light as green. The judge dismissed the running the red light charge and then fined the guy for his confessed speeding at something like 90% of the speed of light.
