Indeed. And this would be a very good time. --

And when we do get the snippet, we can all celebrate with Thanksgiving. (Please, sir, I want some more). ========================

Hi Samwichse,
Bless you for such diligence! {though I'm not sure about some character abbreviations] Now that we have a frequency per book, do we need a frequency per character speaking or thinking per book? Has Sharleyan tamed Cayleb, since the frequency of his tart remarks has disappeared? What are the correlations between married pardners and singles, and can a masters in sociology or psychiatry be built on such data if carefully corroborated and tabulated? L
Any snippet or post from RFC is good if not great!

If one truly wants to run a Tartly analysis, regress the frequency of Tartly against the characters present when the word is used. Also regress against the adjectives and adverbs used in the scene. That ought to show. Those people and terms that turn Sharley tart.

Considering their marriage in the second book, I'd say it's pretty clear who's becoming entarted by whom in that relationship. Sam |

Now if we could just get the Gang of Four to institute "The Ministry of Silly Walks", the conflict would be over as Charis would be unable to stop laughing and the Inquisition would be unable to un-knot themselves to do anything about it. As to this topic, all of a sudden I'm wondering if they still sell "Sweetarts" candy. And yes, I am starting to twitch like a Python-infested bureaucrat at the delay in my addiction. -----

"Entarted" Eh? I'd exile you to Tartesia but that is another author and a misapplication at that, so give yourself 20 lashes with an al-dente spaghettini! -----

Is RFC getting a bonus for the definitive use of a tartly character, or the most tarts in a work of fiction? Maybe he's after the golden tart? |
