heh--they used cs gas during a training exercise at Ft Carson, back in 1986 or '87--wind shifted and the MPs and state troopers had to go out and close the highway until it blew off. No fatal accidents for that bit of genius, thank goodness.

There have been a few passing mentions in the novels and anthologies (which I'm not going to try to run down right now), but virtually no real details.

Tanks are used in the short story Deck Load Strike, in the anthology Worlds of Honor.

The reason we haven't seen more tanks is because in an interstellar war, once you control the high orbitals, you control the planet. There have been hardly any instances where tanks would have been useful and available (for instance, they would never have had tanks on Medusa).

Which is pretty clearly the worst story in any of the anthologies.

There were Havenite tanks in the State Sec compound on Hades, and light tanks on verge worlds in Storm from the Shaddows.

I always thought it felt like a generic scifi Short story modded just enought to be in the Honorverse.

I would argue A Grand Tour gets that title, but only by a hair. I personally don't even consider AGT as canon.

Neither of those read much like Weber. I never think about that last one much--but the OFS goons are pretty much on target, and I think it is one of the few instances of the People's Navy Auxillary Fleet, or whatever it was called, and their tendency towards atrocities.

In House of Steel there is mention of the M11A2 MBT with a 120mm plasma gun with a pulsar cannon secondary weapon it is the main MBT of the RMA.

That's pretty heavy armament for tank.
There is a lot of thoughts about Mount Royal Palace defense system. What we knew so far about it, there was exactly one sentence about its capabilities, when they intercepted some of falling debris.
