Can anyone post me a link to the rank table for the forums, i.e. how many posts equals commander, captain, commodore etc.
(Yes, it is inter-snippet syndrome.) |

I was wondering about that myself. I think I was promoted to JG after 10 or 20, then to SG after 50. <<Edited to add additional info>> Just noticed that at 102 posts, I am a Lt. Cmdr. <<Edited to add additional info>> Just noticed in the German thread that one poster with 23 posts is an Ensign and one with 29 is a JG, I'd guess 25 is the cutover there. --

I'm glad you asked that so that I now know where I am in my career progression. However, I am unhappy that the ranking is tied to the name and not the posting date. I'd rather the latter because early naif-ish responses should be shown by midship and ensign ranking not by current sophisticated and seasoned rankings. -----

I wish there were more variety, enlisted, Marine officers, etc. When we volunteer, we state the book series. That in-turn gives us a choice of branch, political thought, and field experience. After due consideration we are classified and assigned a pay-grade and specialty. Cilvilian class government specialists included. Some of us may even be given Mad Scientist status (must have laugh and the ability to pronounce laboratory correctly). |

Thanks Guys I'm pleased you find my "Poster's Ranks" file useful. If you're tracking Mr Weber's posts... I'm trying to keep this file up-to-date. http://web.ncf.ca/et116/RFC-Posts.htm Free to use and I'll keep adding the latest posts as long as I'm around !! R . ..//* *\\

Ages back, I suggested that a (now-apparently-gone) poster should be given the rank of Swordmaster for a very informative set of snippets regarding different fighting styles and how they could be compared to Grayson Duelling codes.
The problem with adding specialist ranks as suggested in previous posts is that in order to do so, the site would probably need serious reprogramming to accept the extra fields required. While I have some code-writers in my family (including one who wrote the FLOPSY system for the Highways Agency single-handed, a system which proved far superior to the original official system), it would probably cost quite a bit to do so. Shame. Could have been fun. ~~~~~~
I can't write anywhere near as well as Weber But I try nonetheless, And even do my own artwork. (Now on Twitter)and mentioned by RFC! ACNH Dreams at DA-6594-0940-7995 |
